Audrey Ellen Beattie (nee Ardo) age 59, is now at peace after a lengthy illness, passing away at Arizona Angels Hospice in Prescott, Arizona on April 6, 2021. She was the beloved wife of John G. Beattie, known to all as “Jack” (deceased in 2017). She was the cherished sister and sister-in-law of Louis D. (Doris) Ardo, Michelle M. Ardo (deceased), Timothy M. Ardo (Bonnie Swanek), Thomas L. Ardo-Marzenski (Brad), Jeffrey J. (Rondi) Ardo, and George Koerner. She was the loving aunt to Rocky Ardo.
Audrey was born in Cleveland, Ohio on October 5, 1961to LaVerne Ardo (nee Joseph) (deceased) and Louis Ardo (deceased). Audrey attended Wallings Road Elementary School, CCD classes at Assumption School, Brecksville Junior High School, and was a 1980 graduate of Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School.
Audrey grew up in Broadview Heights, Ohio with a few German Shepherd dogs throughout the years in the Ardo home (Heidi, Dutchess, Pepper). Both she and Jack loved dogs too, especially their beloved dog, Chester.
Audrey enjoyed landscaping, macrame, charcoal drawing, antique shopping, and any kind of turquoise jewelry. She used her landscaping skills to make her mom’s backyard in Broadview Heights so pleasant to sit outside and look at the beautiful view. Audrey continued her enjoyment of landscaping when she moved to Arizona, creating a beautiful rock garden and pond in her yard.
Our sincere thanks and appreciation to Audrey’s good friends and neighbors in Dewey, Arizona, Charlie & Terri Baldic and Shirley Marotta, who helped to look after Audrey after Jack died and when Audrey became ill. They were our eyes and ears in Arizona!
