She was born in Cleveland to Loretta & Sidney Sims on December 23, 1932. Babs is preceded in death by her husband James, her sisters Alberta & Loretta, her brothers William and Robert. She is survived by her brother James, her children Susan (George) Mahalic, Roberta (Mike) Cannon, Patricia Coone, James (Pam; deceased) Coone, Lisa Coone, Michael (Dalida), William (Lisa) Coone, and her 15 grandchildren. Babs is also remembered by her many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Babs was married to her High School sweetheart Jim, in March of 1955. After Jim died suddenly in 1978, Bab's focus was on raising their seven children. When she wasn't busy filling her home with warmth & love, she could be found by the backyard pool with her children, their pets, and her many friends.
Babs will always be remembered as someone who loved her children unconditionally and persevered throughout her life.
A visitation for Bab's will be held Tuesday, December 19, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home, 20820 Lorain Rd, Fairview Park, Ohio 44126. A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, at 11:30 AM at St. Angela Merici Church, 20970 Lorain Road, Fairview Park. with interment following at Holy Cross Cemetery.
