Barbara was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Wenonah Caban (née Standen) and George Caban.
Barbara was married to her beloved husband Joseph Pozarelli for 55 years prior to his passing in 2019. She was a devoted Catholic and attended church at St. Angela Merici Catholic Church in Fairview, Ohio. She was a member of the Rocky River Senior Center and enjoyed traveling and bus trips to the casinos to gamble. She was a baseball fan and was an avid support of the Guardians. She loved animals, especially her cats.
Barbara was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and great grand nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her beloved cat, Marty.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Pozarelli; her father George Caban and her mother Wenonah Caban (née Standen); her sister Rosalind Guhde.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations can be made to the Hospice of Western Reserve. Donations can also be made in honor of her love of animals to any animal rescue of your choosing.
A visitation for Barbara will be held Monday, September 8, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM at Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home, 20820 Lorain Road, Fairview Park, OH 44126. A funeral mass will occur Monday, September 8, 2025 at 11:30 AM at St. Angela Merici Catholic Church, 20970 Lorain Rd, Fairview Park, OH 44126. A graveside committal will occur Monday, September 8, 2025 at 12:30 PM at Holy Cross Cemetery, 14609 Brookpark Rd, Brook Park, OH 44142. A catering will occur Monday, September 8, 2025 at 1:00 PM, 14768 Lorain Ave, Cleveland, Ohio 44111.
Barbara will be laid to rest in Holy Cross Cemetery, 14609 Brookpark Road, Brook Park, Ohio.
