Barbara was born in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of the late Myron and Helen (nee Pinta).. She was the beloved wife of the late Peter S., who passed away on July 27, 2020; loving mother of Stephanie Sostakowski (Bobby David) and Peter (Michele); cherished grandmother of Lucy and Lex Sostakowski; dear sister of the late Frank Novak; adored A.B. of many nieces and nephews.
Growing up in Euclid, Barbara spent countless days at the Euclid Beach Club, where she loved the water and found joy in simply putting her feet in the sand. Barbara worked at Ohio Bell for 33 years as a dedicated secretary. She enjoyed scouting and was proud to be a part of Troop 630. A faithful member of St. Brendan’s Church and the Holy Name Society, she lived her life rooted in community and service.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 14, 2025 from 2PM-6PM at Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home, 20820 Lorain Rd., Fairview Park, Ohio 44126. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10AM at St. Brendan's Church, 4242 Brendan Lane, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brook Park, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St Brendan's Church.
