Jean was born in McKeesport, PA to Michael and Verna Kurey on June 15, 1939.
For many years, Jean worked as a manager at Care Cleaners in Westlake. She was also a licensed beautician. She was a devoted member of St. Mary Magdalene Byzantine Catholic Church in Fairview Park. She was actively involved in church activities, such as working at bingo, baking with the Ladies Guild, and working at receptions in the hall. She also served as president of the board of directors at Clague Towers for many years. Jean loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed going to lunch with her friends.
Jean is survived by her three sons: Michael (Nancy) of Elyria, John of Warner Robins, Georgia and Robert of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren Justin, Ryan, Curtis, Jonathan and her brother-in-law Richard Baney. She also leaves behind nephews and a niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Carolyn Baney, and her longtime friend/partner Paul Macechko.
Visitation will be held at Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home, 20820 Lorain Road, Fairview Park, OH 44126, US, on June 14, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and again on June 14, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
A Funeral Service will take place at St Mary Magdalene Byzantine Church, 5390 W 220th St, Cleveland, OH 44126, US, on June 15, 2026, at 10:00 am.
Committal will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 14609 Brookpark Rd, Brook Park, OH 44142, US, on June 15, 2026, at 11:15 am.
