When I had Mrs. Kacher in my Junior year of Spanish, I was struggling to understand a book we were reading. After receiving a bad grade on it, she offered to let me retake it. When I didn't do well a second time, she took the time to help me understand it. It was very nice of her to do that, and it showed me the kind of teacher she was. She wanted me to really learn and understand it, not just know it for the test. She was a wonderful person and I often would talk to her after that year...at the proms, other dances, and in the halls. She would always take the time to say a sweet "hello" and want to know how I was doing. I could tell she really cared about me and everyone. Now that I'm studying education myself, I hope to carry the traits I saw in her with me in the future. I'll try to remember how she didn't make me feel bad for not understanding things, but worked with me until I did. I'll try to be that kind of teacher too. She will be very missed and my thoughts go out to Mr. Kacher and Mrs. Kacher's family. I'll never forget her.
