Carl G. Metzger

CARL METZGER, age 77, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2013 in Cleveland. Carl was born December 18, 1935 in Cleveland to the late Carl and Leona Metzger. He was a Captain of the Fairview Park Police Dept., retiring after 37 years. He was also a member of F.O.P. Lodge 25 for over 52 years - serving as president and current recording secretary. Carl was also a veteran of the US Army. He was a co-founder of the Lorain County Plastic Modelers Society and an avid model builder and photographer. He loved NASCAR racing and was a war bird enthusiast. Beloved husband of the late Betty (Pollack); loving father of Laura Vallen (Robert), Lynne Metzger, Leanne Creasap (Wayne), and Linda Metzger; Step-father of Bruce Pollock, Greg Pollock (Sue), Michael Pollock (Theresa), Theresa Broussard and Michelle Hopkin (Rob); Grandfather of 22; Great Grandfather of 10; Brother of Richard (Donna), Ralph, and Nancy Pflug (Ray); Companion of Linda; Uncle of many.
