Ewald Hammerle

Ewald F. Hammerle, of Westlake, age 92, was born December 28, 1924 and entered into rest on May 7, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Isobel (nee Nicoll) and Jeanne (nee Millis). Cherished father of Isabel “Hedy”, Dawn (Adam Hill), and Laura Millis (Scott). Loving grandfather of David (Penny), Amanda, Christopher, and Ian; and great-grandfather of Reece, Isabelle, and Katherine. Dear son of the late Fred and Hedwig (nee Bucholtz); and brother of Raymond (Deborah) and the late Eleanor; and friend of many. Ewald was a proud Army Air Corp veteran of WWII. For over 65 years, he owned and operated Acme Boiler Company. In Ewald’s free time he loved spending time with his family, ballroom and square dancing, singing, and collecting rare stamps and coins. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations in Ewald’s memory to the Alzheimer's Association. FUNERAL MASS FRIDAY MAY 12, 2017, 10AM, AT ST.
