He was the beloved husband of the late Cecilia (nee Lebron); loving companion of Aida Perez; dear father of Ivan Jr, Brenda Lopez-Spiewacki (Thomas), David Lopez, and Wilma Lopez; grandfather of 10; great grandfather of 6; brother of Ermelinda Cruz and 10 deceased; uncle of many.
Ivan was born on May 1937 to Pablo and Genara Lopez in Lares, Puerto Rico. After Ivan graduated from Santurce high school in 1956, he went on to study bookkeeping at Ramirez Commercial Academy in San Juan, Puerto, Rico.
After graduating he joined the United States Marine Corps and served one tour of duty and was honorably discharged. He began his career working for Ford Motor Company in 1964 and retired after 33 years of honorable and faithful service.
In 1997, Ivan retired and spent his time bowling with his UAW family, gardening, playing his guitar, listening to music, fixing cars, home improvement projects and being surrounded by his family and friends.

A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Church, 3602 Bridge Rd, Cleveland, OH 44113. Followed by the burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, 14609 Brookpark Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44102.
