James W. Newport, age 71, of Fairview Park, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. James was born in Cleveland, the son of the late James Richard and Helen (nee Davie) Newport. Jim is the beloved husband of 45 years to Mary Ann (nee Powell); loving father of Callie Newport, Sarah Tumolo (Dwayne) and James Newport ; cherished grandfather of Diana Lynn, Colin, Bailey, Alex and Nathanael; dear brother of Catherine Cachat (David, deceased), Frances Blaha (Robert, deceased) and Patricia Blayney (Thomas); adored uncle of many. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 4PM-7PM with a funeral service at 7PM at Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home, 20820 Lorain Rd., Fairview Park. US Navy Military Honors and inurnment will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 12:45PM at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd., Seville, Ohio.
