Dr. Agnello added a spark of life to the party.  He would be on our patio with Butch Focke when I was a kid and I remember the laughter that would ensue.   Both of the Schecker parents have passed as well as Butch.  What a party their must be in heaven.  My condolences to your family.

Joe was a delightful colleague and friend, always clever and funny.  I know he leaves us with many happy memories.

My dad lived a righteous life.  Protecting and looking out for everyone.  He mentored,raised spirits and if you were in the wrong he called you out. He is a huge impact on all his children and grandchildren.  Funnest person I know.  Self made from the Italian neighborhood of the Detroit streets.  He taught us at a young age to be street smart . As an adult he emerged as a true Angel on earth to help fight injustice. 
May he now look over us and help us reach the level of compassion he achived.
As my dad walked towards his creator ...I'm sure as he passed the Saints and God's army..they all stood   to acknowledge his works on earth. 
May we all left on earth now, in our daily life's trials before we act , stop and think "What would Joe do?"

I was a student of Dr. Agnello's at The University of Cincinnati in the late 70's. Dr. Agnello was a genuine human being, had a great sense of humor, and was a fantastic educator. He really took the time to get to know his students as individuals and was a great life buoy when you needed it. My sincerest condolences to his family. He is in our thoughts and prayers. Heaven just got a little more interesting with his presence!!!!!!!!!!

In their years at Cincinnati, Dr Agnello and my father, the late Dr Ernest Weiler became fast and inseparable friends. Joe was bigger than life, and my father was always tickled when someone would ask, "Is Joe Agnello a real person or just a name you use when you want to tell a good story?"

Dr Agnello was real enough and my sadness at his his passing is tempered by the knowledge that he and Ernie are once again sharing a joke together.

Dear Agnello Family,  Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of Joe, your loving husband, father and family member.  I will always treasure the fine memories of Dr. Agnello as my professor and thesis advisor at the University of Cincinnati.  He was a brilliant scholar and trusted friend. I think of him with a smile and a copy of his "one bowl Joe" pizza recipe.  Rest in Peace, my friend.  May you be surrounded by a choir of angels and the magnificent sounds of opera.  God Bless.

So sorry to hear about the loss of this wonderful educator.  I was a student of his at the University of Cincinnati in the late 70's and early 80's and will never forget the 8:00 am class where he poured out a pitcher full of cow lungs, trachea, blood and all.  He proceeded to inflate the lungs by blowing through the mess, then handed out papers with blood still on his fingers!  A great visual and long remembered lesson from a wonderful teacher.  He will be missed by many.

Jan, Tim, and Mike, I am very sorry for the loss of your Dad.  This is very different, of course, but after reading his obit, I thought about the night I was with you for prayers when you buried your cat in the side yard of your home in Springdale many years ago.  I hope that the good your Dad did for you and others lives on for many years.

Years ago my late husband worked across the street from St. Christopher's, The Agnellos found our dog wandering in the churchyard without tags and brought her home.She was our third child. Thankfully they responded to my husband's flyers posted in the neighborhood and contacted us. We were thrilled that this kind and generous family contacted us. When we went to pick her up at their home they admitted that they had fallen in love with her. We will never forget their kindness and generosity. God bless Mr. Agnello and his family. He was a great guy and my God Father. Will miss his humor

Lois and family, I am saddened by your loss of "Uncle Joe" as we kindly called him.  He was such a fun and lively person and generous.  Growing up in Michigan on family vacations at the lake I have many a good memory of him preparing meals for all and any that wanted to join in.  I espescially loved his homemade pizzas', besides being an excellent cook he always made me laugh and learn it is ok to make fun of oneself.
