

JOSEPH P. HOGAN, age 86, died peacefully at his home Wednesday, November 16, 2011. Beloved husband of the late Mary C. (nee Joyce); loving father of Terrence J. Hogan (Deborah) of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Eileen Hogan (Steve Sugar) of Hilo, Hawaii, Thomas P. Hogan (Paula), Mary Jo Hogan (Gordon Brunson), Timothy J. Hogan, (Mary) of Tybee Island, Georgia, Michael F. Hogan, (Buffy), and Brian C. Hogan (Mary); grandfather of Connor, Amelia, Angela, Elliot, Olivia, William, Brennan, Joseph, Benjamin, Timothy, Samuel, Charlie, Brendan and Andrew; son of the late Joseph P. Hogan, Sr. and Mary K. (nee O'Rourke); dear and loving friend of Jane Rose Keuchel; brother of the late William O. Hogan (Evelyn) and Sarah Marie Gavelis, (William); uncle of many. He was a graduate of Adelbert College, Western Reserve University (now Case) as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. During the Korean Conflict he served in the U. S. Army, and was stationed in Tokyo, Japan with The First Radio Broadcasting and Leaflet Group, a Psychological Warfare Unit. He spent his work life in the Mortgage Loan and Finance business in Greater Cleveland and in Lake County. He retired in 1991 as Senior Vice President and Secretary of Security Federal Savings and Loan Association of Mayfield Heights. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be forwarded to the Hospice of the Western Reserve or Case Western Reserve University. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, November 19, at 10am in St. Angela Merici Church, 20970 Lorain Rd. Interment Calvary Cemetery.
