OBITUARY

Linda M. Nicholls

December 29, 1948September 18, 2020

Linda M. Nicholls, age 71, of Fairview Park, passed away Friday, September 18, 2020.

She was born in Queens, New York, the daughter of the late Robert F. and Helen (nee Kordish) Nemecek. Linda is the beloved wife of Richard; loving mother of Richard Nicholls, Ann Nicholls (Kelly Welsh), Elizabeth (Rodney) Pelletier and Catherine (Denarion) White; cherished grandmother of Richard “Tommy” Nicholls and Henry Nicholls-Welsh; dear sister of Robert (Carol) Nemecek and the late Carol Klos and Patricia Finnerty; adored aunt of many.

Linda’s life focused on family, faith, and friends. She was married to her “Dream Boat,” Rich, for 46 happy years. Together they raised four children, passing down their values of compassion, spirituality, and hard work. Linda was the backbone of her family and the center of family events, always cooking and coordinating birthday and holiday celebrations so that all family members could attend. She loved to spend time and play with her grandsons, ensuring she was a part of their lives as much as possible. During her later years Linda found more time to devote to her Catholic faith: regularly attending prayer groups at Saint Angela Merici and other parishes, studying the writings of Luisa Piccarreta on God’s Divine Will, and becoming a member of the Servite order. She had an enduring trust and devotion to the Blessed Mother. Her moto was “I believe so that I may understand.”

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 from 4PM-8PM at Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home, 20820 Lorain Rd., Fairview Park. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at 10AM at St. Angela Merici Catholic Church, 20970 Lorain Rd., Fairview Park. Committal services will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Avon.

It was an honor and a blessing to have known such an amazing and beautiful woman. Linda truly loved her faith and was a constant reminder to all, who had the privilege of knowing her, the way life was meant to be lived. Linda inspired me in so many ways. I admired her simplicity, her trust and dedicated devotion to Jesus and His Mother, Mary. Linda was kind and had a never-ending abundance of love and compassion for others. She was the most selfless person I've ever known. She will forever be in my heart and the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Rest well God's angel... you were truly a gift to mankind. 💝

I am so very sorry for your loss (and ours). I knew Linda from the Divine Will prayer group. She was so very dear, and compassionate. She will be greatly missed.
