Pauline Anna Donahue (née Baillargeon) passed away peacefully on February 10, 2018 at the age of 84. Despite a battle with illness that recently robbed her of her ability to speak, the love she held for her family was always visible in her eyes. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alphonse and Florida, and her brother, Arthur. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Paul, and she was the joy of his life. She was the beloved mother of five: Dolores Beach (Ray), Jane Ekker (Steve), Paul Donahue (Jonna d.), Carol Tomcho (Kevin), and Nancy Blase (Steve). To her ten grandchildren: Amanda, Tiffany, Michael, Kelly, Dana, Elizabeth, Shane, Kevin, Monica, and Brad, she was an endless ray of sunshine and love. She touched many lives with her boisterous personality, and her wonderful sense of humor. She possessed a unique personality and temperament that led complete strangers to be compelled to share their life stories with her. She particularly enjoyed her years of teaching French, mainly at the Ruffing Montessori School, and also as a private tutor. She was a lifelong Roman Catholic, and a member of St. Brendan Parish since the family’s move to Ohio from New Hampshire in 1969. She will be greatly missed, and the memories with which she blessed the lives that she touched will be cherished forever. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Griswold Home Care, and the exceptionally kindhearted and skilled caregivers that enabled Pauline to remain with her husband in the home that she so loved. At the family’s request, there will be a private memorial Mass.
