Pauline A. Donahue

April 24, 1933February 10, 2018

Pauline Anna Donahue (née Baillargeon) passed away peacefully on February 10, 2018 at the age of 84. Despite a battle with illness that recently robbed her of her ability to speak, the love she held for her family was always visible in her eyes. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alphonse and Florida, and her brother, Arthur. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Paul, and she was the joy of his life. She was the beloved mother of five: Dolores Beach (Ray), Jane Ekker (Steve), Paul Donahue (Jonna d.), Carol Tomcho (Kevin), and Nancy Blase (Steve). To her ten grandchildren: Amanda, Tiffany, Michael, Kelly, Dana, Elizabeth, Shane, Kevin, Monica, and Brad, she was an endless ray of sunshine and love. She touched many lives with her boisterous personality, and her wonderful sense of humor. She possessed a unique personality and temperament that led complete strangers to be compelled to share their life stories with her. She particularly enjoyed her years of teaching French, mainly at the Ruffing Montessori School, and also as a private tutor. She was a lifelong Roman Catholic, and a member of St. Brendan Parish since the family’s move to Ohio from New Hampshire in 1969. She will be greatly missed, and the memories with which she blessed the lives that she touched will be cherished forever. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Griswold Home Care, and the exceptionally kindhearted and skilled caregivers that enabled Pauline to remain with her husband in the home that she so loved. At the family’s request, there will be a private memorial Mass.

I have fond memories from my childhood of your mom.
The way she said my name made it sound so beautiful, musical almost!
I loved her bread-baking on Tuesdays.
I am so sorry to hear of your loss, prayers to your family.

I just received this sad news about Pauline. I worked with her many years ago at Ruffing Montessori School. She taught my daughter, and Pauline and I had a very nice friendship! She was a very sweet lady and I'm sure you'll all miss her. Thank you for letting the Ruffing community know of your loss. Thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Pauline was a true blessing to many people. I have good memories of Pauline from Maria Lane right up to St. Brendan Church. What a blessing. My prayers are with all of you.
