Phyllis Stanton

PHYLLIS MARIE STANTON, went to be with her Lord on January 19th, 2023. Phyllis was born on December 12th 1944, in Cleveland, Ohio. The beloved daughter of the late Michael and Theresa Stanton (nee Roemer). Sister to the late Carol Buckley (Joe of Paramus, NJ) and the late Mary Cook (Doug of North Olmsted, OH). Devoted aunt to Kevin Buckley (Kerry), Brian Buckley (Danielle), Carrie Rae (Dr. Evan), Michael Cook (Anna) and great aunt to 9 nieces and nephews. Cousin of Don Miller (Judy) and the late Barbara and Jerome Sestak. Dear friend to Kathy Bruening and Mary Anne Kuhn. Phyllis attended Magnificat High School, Ursuline College and Rutgers University. She was retired from the Cleveland School District where she worked as a Math Teacher for over 30 years. Phyllis loved music and regularly attended City Music Cleveland Concerts and had been an usher at the Beck Theatre in Lakewood. Family will receive friends at Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home, 20820 Lorain Rd, Fairview Park, on Wednesday, January 25, from 4 – 8pm. Funeral mass will be held at Saint Angela’s Merici, 20970 Lorain Rd, Fairview Park, on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2022 at 11:30am followed by interment Holy Cross Cemetery Please meet at church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Phyllis may be made to The Westside Catholic Center where she had been a volunteer.
