It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Ronald Joseph Studeny into the hands of the Lord on the evening of April 30, 2018 at the age of 69 after a long and courageous battle with ALS. Born and raised in the Detroit-Shoreway neighborhood and a graduate of West High School and Cleveland State University, Ron spent the majority of his life raising his family in Fairview Park on Cleveland’s West Side. Ron was a virtuous, compassionate, and tough fighter in all aspects of his life and a role model to all. He prepared himself well for Eternal Life in the Kingdom of God as a devout member of the St. Mary Romanian Orthodox Cathedral parish. His greatest joy was being “Moșu” to his four loving grandchildren, Alina, Anton, Andrew, and Theodore, who each have a new guardian angel watching down on them from above. Ron is survived by the “love of his life” and wife of 43 years, Faith (nee Herman), and his two children, Nathan (Jessica) and Nicole (Adam Mortus), of whom he was forever proud. Ron was preceded in death by his mother Florence (nee Fantana) and father Joseph. Brother of Paula Jarrell (Phillip, deceased) and Cassandra Hamilton (Jerry). Nephew to William Studeny (Patricia, deceased) and Eronim “George” Fantana (Margaret “Peggy,” both deceased). Brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and most of all, friend to many more. We will miss his strong hands and heart, witty advice, generosity, work ethic, and well-timed smiles. Don’t worry, Dad, we will be careful and always wear our seatbelt. May God grant him rest and may his memory be eternal. Veșnica pomenire. Visitation Sunday 4 - 8pm at Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home 20820 Lorain Rd. Fairview Park. Saracusta Prayer Service 7pm Sunday. All Funeral Services Monday at 10am at St. Mary Romanian Orthodox Cathedral 3256 warren Rd. Cleveland 44111. Please meet at Church. Interment Sunset Cemetery. Ron, it is with sadness as I write this. While looking up my friends on Facebook, I discovered that you passed away. We met back in 1976 when I first started working for CEI. I remember you helped us move into our first house.
Be at peace.
Susie
