Susan E. Lachendro

Susan’s life was rooted in devotion to family and the steady values that shaped her days. She was the daughter of Joseph and Olive Kisvardai, and the beloved wife of Carl Lachendro (deceased). Together, they built a family that remains a lasting testament to the care and commitment she carried throughout her life.

She is survived by her children: Mark Lachendro (Christine, deceased), John Lachendro (Lisa), Elizabeth Johnson (Tom), Jim Lachendro, and Linda Rath (Eric). She was a cherished grandmother to Mark Jr., Michael, Jennifer, June, and Rebecca. Susan is also survived by her siblings Joseph and Linda, and was preceded in death by her brother James (deceased).

In the rhythms of everyday life, Susan’s warmth was unmistakable. Her enjoyment of puzzles reflected a patient, attentive mind, and her love of singing in the community choir spoke to a spirit that found meaning in shared purpose and harmony. Her Catholic faith was a steadfast source of strength, guiding her with quiet conviction. Above all, Susan was known as someone who valued people—welcoming conversation, offering kindness, and making others feel seen.

Susan will be deeply missed, and her memory will remain a source of comfort and respect to her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
