DEAR GRIFFIN FAMILY, IT IS HARD TO LOSE SUCH A BEAUTIFUL 
PERSON (FATHER,UNCLE,BROTHER, FRIEND) AT ANY AGE. UNCLE TOM WILL BE MISSED. UNCLE TOM TAUGHT ME MANY IMPORTANT THINGS BECAUSE HE WAS (AS HE LIKED TO TELL ME OFTEN) MY GODFATHER. HE TAUGHT ME HOW TO PACK A PERFECT PIPE ALLOWING FOR PROPER AIRFLOW. IT WAS IMPORTANT TO CLEAN THE PIPE OFTEN AND NEVER USE IT TO BLOW BUBBLES AS THIS WOULD RUIN THE FLAVOR OF THE TOBACCO. HE WAS THE FIRST PERSON TO INFORM ME THAT MY "REAL" NAME WAS MARGARET, AFTER HIS MOTHER. THAT IS THE NAME TO BE USED ON IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS SUCH AS THE G.I. JOE MEMBERSHIP FORM I WAS FILLING OUT.  UNCLE TOM SOLD ME  MY FIRST CAR- A STICK SHIFT CHEVY SO I COULD GET AROUND. MOST OF ALL HE WAS FUN   AND HAD A GREAT LOVE OF HIS CHILDREN WHO CLUNG TO HIS LEGS WHEM HE WALKE LIKE GLUE. SO WHEN YOU FEEL SAD AND MISS HIM REMEMBER THE FUN TIMES.  I AM KEEPING ALL OF YOU IN MY PRAYERS .

My dearest sympathy goes out to the Griffin Family.  Most of my childhood memories include that house.. and I will always have a permanent picture of your dad sitting at that desk in his office.   He was always so patient no matter how wild and crazy us girls would get.  Much love to you all.   Patty...thinking of you, love.

Dear Griffin cousins I can feel your pain having suffered the same loss recently.Remember this to me your father was great in the  many rolls he played and did well. He was father and husband, best friend to his brother,nurse and therapist,babysitter,the uncle who brougtht toys to the christmas party,the lamaz coach sub. if needed,picture taker for the golf outing and so much more. Dear Griffin Family:
