Marianne, I did not know your Tom, but from his picture and from what Carolyn has told me, he had a joyous nature that impacted many people. I know you have a hole in your heart and I give you a word from King David when he also suffered great loss: "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; those whose spirit is crushed he will save." Psl 34:19. You will find the Lord's closeness in the touch of a friend, the hug of a family are precious in his sight and in spite of this unbearable sorrow, he holds YOU in the palm of HIS hand. God bless you Marianne and also each one who knew your soul mate! Hug your Mom for me.

As we celebrate the Homecoming of Tom, my heart aches for the entire Rego family as you mourn the loss of your brother and friend. Although it has been decades since I have seen any of the Rego clan, you have always and will always hold a very special place in my heart. Eventhough, I am unable to attend the funeral service, my thoughts and prayers are with all of you today and in the days to come. Lovingly, Cristina (Tina Flanagan)

I did not run into Tom often, but when I did, he always had a smile on his face and laughter in his voice. May God hold you close during this time of great sorrow and may He guide you peacefully through the days ahead. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
