To Wilbur's family:  I worked with Wilbur many years ago at a State of Ohio psychiatric facility in the music therapy department.  We each married at the same point in time, and I left the state for a period of time.  When I returned, I went to visit him where he still worked at the hospital.  I considered him a friend during those years, and was dismayed to see that he had passed.  I remember him to be one of the "good people" and I have thought of him fondly throughout the years.  He was so very talented.  Our hospital supervisor remembered that he came with his Mother to the hospital where she was a volunteer.  He was reportedly only 7 or 8 years old at that time.  His legs would barely reach to pedals, but he would accompany everyone while they sang.  Wilbur always had a joke and could lighten one's day.  I am so sorry for your loss and the loss of everyone who ever knew him.  I will miss him in my heart.

I worked with Will for 12 years.  He was a supportive and kind colleague and became a good friend.  His musical talents were great, but his giving of himself to our nursing home residents made him the heart of our facility.  He is sorely missed.  Bless you, Will.

I haven't seen Wilbur since our Crestwood High School days, but I remember him as a wonderful person and great musician.  God Bless Him.

Uncle Wilbur was always smiling and happy. He and Aunt Linda made a good team and raised a good family. Now the heavens have called up a good man...

I will definitely miss my Uncle Wilbur! I have wonderful memories of sitting on my Grandma Vicha's floor listening to him play the organ! It always amazed me how he could hear a song and play it with out seeing the music! He was such a talented and caring man! He will be missed by so many! My thoughts and prayers are with the family!

Oh, I wish I'd been able to get in touch with him after I saw him at the reunion. I have so many memories of Wilbur. When he first came to Crestwood, he made a huge impact on us with his friendly laughter and his amazing musical talent, and he was immediately welcomed into our circle of
friends. We used to get together and make up plays, which we recorded on cassette. Wilbur was our sound effects and background music. I remember him marching at the football games with his tuba.  I marveled at the way he could sit at the piano and just play. Music was in his DNA.  He loved his job as church organist, and he told me all about it. I love to be with someone who enjoys his passion so much. I will let his other friends know, the ones who are not on Facebook. I am so sad I didn't have more contact with him after high school. R.I.P., friend Wilbur.

In high school (Crestwood) he could sit at the piano and play just about anything without a score.  That always amazed me.  It was genius!  We had a nice, but very brief friendship.  Condolences to all.
