Woodrow "Oscar" W. McDonie

Woodrow was born May 19, 1946 Milton, West Virginia, the son of the late Woodrow H. and Velma (nee Weatherholt) McDonie. He is the beloved husband of 52 years to Lois (nee Maynor); loving father of Jennifer (Tom) Petrasek and Jeff (Jenn) McDonie; adventurous grandpa and patae of Rilee McDonie, Tommy Petrasek, Matthew Petrasek and Brody McDonie; dear brother of Carolyn (Jim) Raines, Loretta Yates and the late Gary (Jane) McDonie, John McDonie, Cheryl (Jim) Lowery and Rhonda (Bud) Fisher; adored uncle of many.

Us Army veteran. Dedicated employee of 50 years to Cargill Salt Mines, he retired in 2019. An outdoor enthusiast and a lover of wildlife, he could be found in the Metro Parks with family and friends. He is an active member of Mt. Calvary House of Prayer, formerly Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church for 52 years.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 4PM-8PM at Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home, 20820 Lorain Rd., Fairview Park. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11AM at Mt. Calvary House of Prayer, 5610 Clark Ave., Cleveland. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 10AM until the time of service. Interment to follow at West Park Cemetery.
