Andrew John Pytel, age 77, husband of 55 years to Josephine Ann (Piszcz) Pytel, of Fall River passed away on July 10, 2013 in Charlton Memorial Hospital. Andrew was born and lived in Fall River, son of the late Andrew Pytel and Susan (Szynal) Pytel.
He was a veteran of the US Army serving from 1955-1962. He was a Sergeant with the Fall River Police Department from 1960-1992.
Andrew graduated from BMC Durfee High School and Bristol Community College. An avid sportsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. He was also a member of the St. Stanislaus Seniors Club.
In addition to his wife, Andrew leaves three children: daughter Catherine Ann Hague and her husband David, daughter Janice Ann Flynn and her husband L. Donald Jr., and son Andrew John Pytel Jr. and his wife Beth, 5 grandsons: David Andrew Hague, Alan James Hague, L. Donald Flynn III, Brian Michael Flynn, and Joseph Andrew Flynn, and several nieces and nephews. He was brother of the late Phyllis C. Pytel
Calling hours for Andrew will be held on Sat. July 13, 2013 from 8AM – 10AM, followed by a prayer service at 10AM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT CHERRY PLACE 178 Winter St. Fall River. Burial will be private.
