Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late John and Joanna (Almeida) Delgado, she was a lifelong resident of the city, having worked at Ross Matthews for 15 years, retiring in 1991. She was a member of Fall River Senior Center, St Mary’s Seniors, the YMCA and a former member of the Jolly Group and the Red Hats. Mrs. Riley was an avid bingo player and former bowler.
Surviving: daughter: Pamela L. Gonsalves of Fall River, son: Wayne Horace Riley and his wife Sarah of Swansea, brother: Antonio Delgado of Worcester, sister: Marylou Green of Fall River, three grandchildren: Robert Leon Gonsalves, Anthony J. Gonsalves and Angelina Zuri Riley, eight great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Joseph, Alfred, Manuel, Annie and Julia Delgado, Mary Richardson and Olivia Silva.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday September 5, 2012 at 10AM in the CHERRY PLACE HOME OF WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT CHERRY PLACE, 178 Winter St. Fall River.
