

Born in Madeira, Portugal, he was the son of the late Antonio and Salvina (Nunes) Rodrigues.
Antonio (Tony) lived in South Africa for 25 years before immigrating to the United States, settling in Fall River in 1987. The same year, he opened Gina’s Restaurant in Fall River which he owned and operated with his family for 10 years. Antonio also previously worked as a Machine Operator at Quaker Fabrics for several years.
In addition to being a hard-working businessman, Antonio was an avid soccer fan and always rooted for his favorite team, Benfica.
He is survived by three children, Gina Rodrigues and her partner Hebertt Simoes of Framingham, Nelson Rodrigues and his wife Sonya of Fall River and Michele Rodrigues and her partner Myles Hubert of Fall River; four grandchildren, Aiden and Bryce Rodrigues, Nathan Simoes and Ella Hubert, as well as his brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews that live outside the U.S.
His visitation will be held on Monday, April 1, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River, followed by a Service in the funeral home at 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. The burial will be private.
