Born in Fall River a son of the late William B. and Madeline (Walsh) Norton.
A graduate of Bishop Stang High School where he played Varsity baseball and basketball, he attended the University of Massachusetts in Dartmouth. A New England sports enthusiast he also enjoyed listening to a variety of music, especially The Eagles.
In addition to his companion, he is survived by one sister, Gail M. Norton of Newport & Nantucket; one niece Elizabeth Kendall and her husband Peter of Rye, NH; one nephew, Daniel J. Abraham and his wife Lauren of Tiverton; one great niece, Kelly Rose Kendall and three great nephews, Bryan Abraham, Matthew Abraham and Charles Kendall. He was the brother of the late Marilyn A. Abraham and Reverend William W. Norton.
His visitation will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2021 from 9:30 – 10:30 am in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am in Holy Name Church, 709 Hanover St., Fall River.
