

Barry graduated from Bishop Connolly High School in Fall River. A veteran, he served his country in the U.S. Army. Prior to his retirement Barry worked as a corrections officer for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Barry enjoyed the memories of his days playing hockey for the Highlanders and Bishop Connolly High School, especially the 49 saves he made in a losing effort against Randolph High School in the semi-finals of the 1974 Massachusetts State Hockey Tournament.
He was an avid Red Sox and Bruins fan and never missed a televised Bruins hockey game.
Survivors include his former wife Brenda Shea of Naples, Florida, his son Brendan Shea of Charleston, South Carolina, his daughter Audrey A. McKernan and her husband Scott of Naples, Florida, his granddaughters Meaghan and Kiley McKernan both of Naples, Florida. Brother Kevin Shea and his wife Pam of Dartmouth, Massachusetts, sister Colleen Carlson and her husband Michael of Scituate, Massachusetts, sister Kathleen Barr and her husband LTC (Retired) U.S. Army Rob of Georgetown, Texas and nine nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Services will be private and are in the care of Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, Fall River.
