Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Veronica (Vautrin) DeMarco.
A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, Carol previously worked as a hairstylist at Cherry & Webb for several years. Prior to her retirement, she worked in the admissions office at Charlton for 30 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing.
She is survived by four sons, David M., Dean R., Douglas E., and Derric J. Mathews, all of Fall River; one granddaughter, Alexis A. Mathews; one great-grandson, Logan J. Pacheco; three siblings, Muriel Duclos and Madaleine Brown, both of Florida, and Louie DeMarco of Swansea, as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Her Funeral Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Carol’s honor may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741 or to Forever Paws Animal Shelter, 300 Lynwood St., Fall River, MA 02721.
