Born in Battambang, Cambodia, she was a daughter of the late Thong Ngoy. A survivor of the Genocide she and her family immigrated to the United States in the early 1980’s moving to Texas. She also lived in Boston before settling in Fall River in the early 1990’s.
In addition to being a homemaker, she was a member of the Wat Udomsaharatanaram Buddhist Temple in Fall River. She enjoyed shopping, gardening and cooking.
She is survived by one daughter: Phany Bou and her fiancé Leang Cheng of Chelmsford, Massachusetts; three sons, Kosal Sam of Fall River, Sensros Dok of Stockton, California, Phyra Bou of Fall River; three brothers, Sophal Bou of Fall River, Sopike Bou of Aurora, Colorado, Boron Bou of Cambodia; one sister, Somally Kem of Cambodia, one granddaughter, one on the way and many nieces and nephews.
Her Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 8:15 to 9:15AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter Street, Fall River, followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00AM in the Chapel of Memory and Hope at Swan Point Crematory, 585 Blackstone Blvd., Providence, Rhode Island.
