I’m so sorry to hear this news. I didn’t know Christen personally but we communicated regularly while I was at the Warren Times. I still remember her good nature and kindness. My deepest sympathies to all who loved her; a sad loss to our community.

We have many lovely memories of Christy that we hold dear we will miss her love her laughter and that early morning search for coffee look, forever beautiful.

While Christy and I hadn't stayed in touch, my heart skipped a beat when I read of her untimely passing. I have so many joyful memories of our friendship growing up. She always carried a bright light and made you feel like the most important person in the room. It makes me happy to know she fulfilled her professional dreams, something I remember her confiding in me about as early as middle school. It also brings me solace to know she found love with Becky and cherished time with family and so many friends. A beautiful person, great dancer, gave the best hugs and truly a gift of a friend. My deepest condolences to those who held her hand through to the end.

It actually took my breath away when I saw Christy’s picture and read that she had passed away. I had a special bond with your beautiful daughter when she conducted my son’s funeral. She was young, she had no children of her own, yet I sensed that she felt the depth of my pain. She emitted the love and compassion that helped get me through one of the worse days of my life. There is nothing I can say that will ease your pain, my old friend. Heaven has gained a beautiful, kind and compassionate soul. Brenda, you have the knowledge that you raised someone who has touched the lives of many grieving people. She eased their pain and heartbreak. Let this fact help you in your grief. There’s a little less laughter in the world now. Compassion, grace, smiles. I've known her all her life. Crackin’ wise, but fiercely true, that’s how I remember Christy. 

Just a year ago, she and Erica cracking each other up at my mom’s funeral. Sounds terrible, but it really wasn’t. It was perfect.

Christy you will be missed by all. Always a pleasure working with you. A true professional in every sense of the word. Thanks for the laughs and good times.

Christy was one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She immediately welcomed me on to the team while I was completing my training to move on to my permanent team. She was a wonderful funeral director and wonderful coworker.

Christy  was an empowering beacon for women in the funeral industry, she showed me and so many others that we belong, we are capable, and we can make a difference. I was fortunate enough to be able to work with Christy for the first few years of my career and have taken many of the things she taught me with me over the years. Even after I left the Funeral Home, I would always be met with enthusiasm and a big hug and smile whenever I happened to be by to visit or at a service. I'll never forget her, the laughs and the lessons along the way. Christy was 1 in 7 Billion.
