

David R. Vital, age 69, of Dartmouth formerly of Fall River, passed away Friday, August 26, 2016 in Brandon Woods after a battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was the husband of Kathleen “Kathy” A. (Hunsinger) Vital to whom he has been married for almost 25 years.
Born in Fall River, a son of the late Virginio R. and Olivia (Carlos) Vital, he had been a lifelong resident of Fall River.
A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, he was employed as a Bus Driver for SRTA for over 25 years retiring in 2007. Prior to that Mr. Vital worked at Quality Produce on President Avenue in Fall River for many years. An avid reader, David loved to drive and took his wife and family on many road trips throughout the US.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter; Kristen Cabral, one son; David J. Vital, one step-daughter; Christine Connell and her husband Sean, one sister; Joanne Mackie and her husband Jay, sister-in-law; Lou Vital, four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Paul Vital.
His visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River. Relatives and friends invited. Contributions in his honor may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, Grand Central Station, P.O. Box 4777, NY, NY 10163-4777. Burial private.
