Me and my mom shared so much. Our bond and our journey was so strong and vast. I would need to write a novel to capture a glimpse of all the memories, experiences and love we shared. One of my favorite memories of her was our trip to Florida. I had been offered a job there and was going to look at the area to see if it was a move I wanted to make. Mama Hennessey was not going to let her baby go there without checking it out for herself. So, at 73 she got onto an airplane for the first time in her life and headed to Florida with me. We turned the trip into a vacation. I took her all over the state, Disney World, Hard Rock Casino, from east coast to west coast. Well, I did not move there (then) but it was a trip we always looked back at fondly and will always remember. After that trip she wasn't afraid to travel any more and at the age of 73 she started seeing the world.

Our hearts are truly broken, delores was such an amazing, caring, supportive, loving woman. Although we were not family in blood we were in our hearts. We can not thank her enough for her always encouraging presence. She always said God brought us together and I truly believe that, because she inspired me every time we spoke to never stop fighting and I promised her I wouldn't, and I will keep that promise. People may think you can't form a bond with just a few encounters, but we're proof that is not true. From day one, we just connected and she loved and accepted me/us, into her family and I dont have words for how much that meant. I can't explain how warm and welcome she always made me feel, just being around her. My life would not be the same without having met her and it will definately never be the same without her...and
To delores,
I know we said that we'd fight together, but I understand your need to go, just know I'll fight for both of us now, please just patiently save me a spot...and when the time is right, I'll be there and we can FINALLY sit outside in our white chairs :) ..we love you and will miss you daily, rest in peace angel ..xoxo
