in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Eugene N. and Mary (Cordeiro) Byron.
Dorothy graduated from B.M.C. Durfee High School, Class of 1942, and received a Bachelor’s degree from Roger Williams University. She worked as a Systems Technician for New England Telephone Company.
She and her husband spent many of their winters in Florida and summers between Barrington and Little Compton, RI in their tiny house. Dorothy enjoyed quilting, knitting, rug braiding as well as painting.
She is survived by one sister, Mary Bender of Westport; two brothers, Eugene V. Byron and his partner Marcia of Maryland, and Ernest Byron and his wife Shirley of Georgia as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Dorothy was the sister of the late Helen Tetlow.
Her Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 11:00 AM in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, 2233 Robeson St., Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited.
