Born in Newport, the son of the late Robert and Hannah (Waring) Crawford, he was a graduate of BMC Durfee High School class of 1962. He attended Bryant College and New England Tech.
He was employed as a Pipefitter in the Utilities Dept. at the Newport Naval Base and Quincy Shipyard for 22 years until his retirement in 1994.
He is survived by his brother Bruce W. Crawford of Fall River; niece and nephew Christine and Brian Crawford.
