Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Louis and Julia (Brown) Galitsky, she spent her youth in Fall River, moving to East Providence over 30 years ago. She was a graduate of BMC Durfee High School, Class of 1950 and the former Kathleen Dell in Boston, 1952.
She worked at the former Panache Dress Shop in Barrington. She also worked for Superior Cleaners in Fall River and Somerset for many years.
Surviving: two sons: Peter S. Lash and his companion Alyson Murray Mandel of Warren, Jeffrey M. Lash and wife Donna of Fall River, step-daughter: Nancy Taylor and husband Robert “Lou” of Seattle, WA, brother: Howard J. “Howie” Galitsky and wife Sheila M. of New Bedford, four grandchilden: Bradley Lash, Emily, Noah and Seth Taylor and nieces and nephews: Joshua and Julee Galitsky, Richard Burt and Jim and Diane Sardonis.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, May 25, 2014 at 9:30AM in Lincoln Park Cemetery, 1469 Post Rd, Warwick, RI 02888. Arrangements are in the care of Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute, Fall River, MA.
