Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Omer and Mary (Motta) Bedard, she was a life-long resident of the city.
A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, Class of 1968, she later attended Sawyer College and was the medical billing manager at SStar Clinic in Fall River for many years before retiring. A recipient of the Marion Medal, she was a dedicated parishioner at St. Joseph’s Church in Fall River and a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society and the D.A.V. Auxiliary. Elaine enjoyed traveling to the Caribbean, going on cruises and she especially loved dancing the cha-cha with her husband.
In addition to her husband George she is survived by: three daughters, Laura Stack of Cumberland, RI, Tammy Luz and her companion Paul Ferreira of Fall River and Melissa Comiskey of Somerset; two step-sons, Eric Yentz and his wife Vanessa of Tennessee and James Yentz of Newport; one step-daughter, Gina Yentz of Somerset; eleven grandchildren, Diana and Olivia Stack, Corrinn and Taylor Yentz, Gary Pires, Ryan Cordeiro, Alexis and James Yentz, Madison and Brady Comiskey and Jonathan Salvador; one brother, Robert Bedard and his wife Doris of Westport; one sister, Mary Arruda of Florida; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral mass on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph’s Church, 1335 North Main St., Fall River. Burial will be private.
