Ellen B. St. Ours

Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Henry J. and Elizabeth L. (Hewitt) Thompson, she was a lifelong resident of the city.

Mrs. St. Ours was employed as a Packer with Bay State Tube Company in Fall River for many years until her retirement in 1974.

She is survived by her daughter Eleanor Costa of Fall River, three grandchildren Deborah A. Davey and her husband James R. III of Riverside RI, Brian St. Ours and his wife Shannon of Warwick, RI and Mark F. St. Ours and his wife Kimberly of Naugatuck, CT; six great grandchildren James R. Davey IV, Alexander J. Davey, Corbin St. Ours, Callie St. Ours, Zachary St. Ours and Evan Noel and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Arthur H. St. Ours and sister of the late Fred Thompson, Francis Lach, Mable Emond and Henry Thompson.

Her funeral will be held on Monday, January 26, 2015 at 10AM in the Church of the Holy Spirit, 160 Rock St., Fall River. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 4PM to 7PM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT CHERRY PLACE, 178 Winter St., Fall River. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
