

A lifelong resident of Fall River, she was a graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School. She worked as a Receptionist at Charlton Memorial Hospital before retiring in 1981 and prior to that, she worked at Globe Manufacturing.
She was an avid gardener and bred cats for many years. A true caregiver, Kitty really enjoyed babysitting.
She is survived by two sons: Edward J. Dempsey III and his wife Carol of Jupiter, FL, Robert D. Dempsey and his companion Gloria Megna of Fall River, five grandchildren: Elizabeth Robson, Victoria Black Corey, Edward “TJ,” Brian, and Kaitlyn Dempsey, eight great-grandchildren; Daphne and Ethan Robson, Aidan and Samuel Corey, Chase, Avery, Lyla and Brooklyn Dempsey with one on the way and a very special nephew Gary Sullivan. She was the mother of the late Elaine Black and sister of the late Anne Sullivan, Mary, Michael, and Stephen Kiteck.
