Francis H. Patenaude, also known as “Frank and Pat,” age 80, of Fall River, passed away at his residence Friday, October 4, 2013. Born in Fall River, a son of the late Francis H. and Helen (Logan) Patenaude, he was a lifelong resident of the city.
A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School class of 1951, he was a Veteran of the United States Army having served in France. He worked as a long line Fisherman for many years traveling up and down the East Coast. He also owned the Quincy II a Scallop Vessel and was the owner and operator of Quincy Fishing Corporation. Mr. Patenaude was an avid reader.
He is survived by one sister; Margaret Neilan and her husband William of Somerset, sister-in-law; Carol Patenaude of New Bedford, and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. He was brother of the late Robert J. and Thomas F. Patenaude.
His Funeral will be held Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 10:00AM in Holy Name Church, 709 Hanover St., Fall River. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00PM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at CHERRY PLACE, 178 Winter St., Fall River. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
