Freida C. McDonald

Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Egan) Schneider, she has been a lifelong resident of the city. Mrs. McDonald has been employed as a Cafeteria Worker with the Boys & Girls Club in Fall River, the Fall River School Department and Citizens for Citizens for many years, prior to that she worked in the shipping department at the former US Record in Somerset for 13 years.

Mrs. McDonald was a former member of the Corky Row Club and St. Mary’s Cathedral Women’s Guild.

She is survived by her daughter Karen Laprise of Fall River; two grandchildren Thomas R. Laprise and his wife Stacey and Amy L. Halliday and her fiancé Noel Quicho; three great grandchildren Tyler J. Dupra, Zachary T. Laprise and Emma O. Laprise; two sisters Ann Haley and Mary Belanger both of Swansea; a brother Arthur Schneider of Swansea and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Stephen T. McDonald.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 9AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Cherry Place 178 Winter St., Fall River followed by her funeral mass at 10AM in Holy Name Church 709 Hanover St., Fall River. Visiting hours will be Friday from 5 to 8PM. Flowers are welcome. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
