Gilberto “Gilly Treme Treme” Cimbron, age 44, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, January 20, 2024 in Beth Israel Hospital, Boston. He was the adoring husband of Nancy (Carreiro) Cimbron, with whom he shared 13 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Lagoa, Sao Miguel, Azores, the son of Antone and Dalia Cimbron, he immigrated to the United States in 2006.
A real “handyman”, he could fix most anything. Proud to hail from the Azores he was an enthusiastic fan of the Porto Soccer Club. A generous and kind man, he had a big heart and enjoyed being at home with Nancy.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by one son, Francisco Cimbron; one sister, Vania Albernaz (Pedro); four brothers, Paulo Cimbron (Sonia), Fabio Cimbron (Catharine), Marco Cimbron (Heather Costa) and Nelson Cimbron; mother-in-law, Beartriz Carreiro; brother-in-law, Paul Carreiro (Sonya Amaral) and several nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Service will be held Monday, January 29, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter Street, Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation is prior to the service from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
