

Gloria A. (Banville) Bancroft, of Fall River, passed away on July 31, 2025, at the age of 63. Gloria was the beloved daughter of the late Roland and Lorraine (Canuel) Banville. She was a graduate of BMC Durfee High School, class of 1980.
Gloria dedicated her career to serving others, working as a Dietary Supervisor at the Catholic Memorial Home in Fall River, and as a Dietary Aide at the former Adam's House until its closing. She also contributed to the community as a Parent Teacher Liaison with the Fall River Public Schools.
Gloria was married to her devoted husband of 38 years, Peter J. Bancroft. Together, they raised four children: Nathan Bancroft and his wife Sarah of Dartmouth, MA; Joshua Bancroft of Canton; and Samantha Bancroft and Noah Bancroft of Fall River. She was also the cherished grandmother of two granddaughters, Charlotte and Violet Bancroft.
She is survived by her four siblings, Gerald Banville, Aline Santos, Mary Beth Martin all of Fall River, and Michael Banville of Wareham, as well as many nieces and nephews. Gloria was predeceased by her sister, Susan Cabral.
In her personal life, Gloria enjoyed traveling and watching horror and shark movies, passions that brought her much joy and fulfillment.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday August 5, 2025, at 9am from the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St Bernard's Church, 30 S Main St, Assonet. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Monday, from 5 to 8pm in the funeral home.
