

Born in Fall River, a son of the late Paul and Florence (Guerette) Hastings, he grew up in Swansea and has been a resident of Tiverton for the past 27 years.
He was a graduate of Joseph Case High School, Class of 1967 and attended the Culinary Institute of America in New Haven, CT. He was a Chef at area restaurants for 40 years and was most recently employed at the Boathouse Restaurant in Tiverton until his illness. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and traveling.
In addition to his wife he is survived by four brothers, Kevin Hastings and his wife Sandra of Rochester, Jeffrey Hastings and his wife Kristine of Seekonk, Michael Hastings and his wife Gisele of Spartanburg, SC, and Thomas Hastings and his wife Pamela of Rehoboth, brother in law Terrence St. Sing and his wife Deborah of Seattle, WA, Aunt Eleanor O’Connor of Hamden, CT, 11 nieces and nephews, 1 great niece and 1 great nephew, several cousins, many friends, and his beloved cats.
His Funeral will be held Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 10:00AM in St. Christopher’s Church,1584 Main Rd in Tiverton. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Friday from 4-7PM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at CHERRY PLACE 178 Winter St., Fall River. Burial private.
