Jacqueline “Jackie” Pratt (Dechaine), age 65, passed away Monday, April 6, 2020 at her home after a courageous and long battle with cancer. She was the loving wife of Armand J. Pratt, Sr. to whom she was married for 43 years.
Born in Fall River a daughter of the late Edward and Irene (Carreiro) Dechaine, she was a lifelong resident of the city.
A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, she was Sales Representative in the rope and cord manufacturing industry, she worked at Lightolier then at National Cord and Braid for many years before her retirement. Jackie enjoyed playing Black Jack and the slot machines at the casino.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Brian J. Pratt and his wife Tanya and Brad A. Pratt; one daughter, Gailelyn Medeiros; six sisters, Judy Zarlenga, Terry D., Gloria Arruda, Robin Yelle, Lorraine Santos and her sister and best friend, Lisa Gonsalves; two brothers, Edward Dechaine and Anthony Dechaine ; granddaughter, Sierra Pratt; godson, Shayne “Shorty” Soares; two grandsons, Zack and Connor and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Albert Dechaine and Raymond Dechaine .
Arrangements are in the care of the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place.
