James McCarthy, age 87, of Dartmouth, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2020 at his residence. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late William and Edith (Cooper) McCarthy.

James was a member of the Cornerstone Day Program. He thoroughly enjoyed attending this program and loved to be in the presence of his friends.

He is survived by one brother, William McCarthy of Fall River; guardian and good friend, Jacqueline Russotto of Fall River; friends, Tim and Najat West of Fairhaven and staff and roommates, Janet, Ron, Kevin and Charlene.

Private arrangements are in the care of the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, Fall River.
