James W. Perreira, age 50, of Fall River, died June 22, 2012 In the Providence V.A. Hospital. Born in Fall River, a son of the late William and Bernice (Medeiros) Perreira he lived in Anchorage, Alaska for several years.
He was a Firefighter while living in Alaska, a graduate of BMC Durfee High School, Class of 1979 and a United States Army Veteran. Mr. Perreira enjoyed fishing and spending time with his nieces and nephews.
He is survived by one sister: Cheryl Howard and husband Everett, brothers George Perreira and Michael Perreira and his wife Maureen all of Fall River, seven nieces and nephews, three great nieces and nephews.
His visiting hours will be held Thursday from 5-8PM in WARING-SULLVIAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at CHERRY PLACE, 178 Winter St. Fall River. Burial will be held Friday at 10:45AM directly at Massachusetts National Cemetery at Bourne.
