Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Anna (Fortin) Stafford. Janice graduated from B.M.C. Durfee High School, Class of 1968, and received her MBA from Providence College in 1989. She worked as a Finance Manager for Verizon for over 40 years.
Janice enjoyed playing mahjong, and loved traveling, especially on cruises. She volunteered much of her time at the Sacred Heart-Holy Name Food Pantry.
She is survived by two sons, Peter Rosa and his wife Jennifer of Fall River, and Benjamin Rosa and his wife Lucy of Taunton; one grandson, Curtis Rosa of Taunton; two sisters, Barbara Levine of Jacksonville, FL, and Judith Stafford of Punta Gorda, FL, as well as several nieces and nephews. Janice was the sister-in-law of the late Marvin Levine.
Her Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 10:00 AM in St. Mary’s Cathedral, Spring St., Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited and are asked to arrive directly at the church no later than 9:45 AM. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Janice’s honor may be made to the Sacred Heart-Holy Name Food Pantry, 935 Eastern Ave., Fall River, MA 02723. Arrangements are in the care of Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, Fall River.
