Jay T. Carvalho, age 55, of Fall River, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2025 in Charlton Memorial Hospital after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Isabel P. Silva, to whom he had been married for 7 years.
Born in Fall River, the son of the late Charles and Carolyn (Briggs) Carvalho, he was a lifelong resident of the city. He was a 1988 Graduate of BMC Durfee High School and attended Jacksonville University.
Jay was employed as a Private Investigator for several years, most recently with Lemieux & Associates and Unity Surveillance & Investigations. He enjoyed umpiring baseball, refereeing basketball, and watching the news. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, his dogs (Petey & Presley) and other family pets.
In addition to his wife Isabel, he is survived by two stepdaughters, Jacqueline Silva and Meghan Silva; two brothers James R. Carvalho and John C. Carvalho; and several nieces and nephews.
At Jay's request, funeral services will be private and in the care of the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place in Fall River.
