We are saddened to learn of Jean’s passing. She and Jim are the best people anyone could ever know. Jean attended RI College, graduating in my sister’s class. We started teaching at Chace one year apart. When our children attended school, our son , Joel, was in Bethany’s class at Chace. Jim was gracious enough to bring our son, Jason, to Little Red School House with Chris. I had to drop Jason too early, so I could be on time for school. I dropped Jason off at Jean and Jim’s home. May Jean suffer no more and reap the rewards of her goodness in Heaven. May her family cherish every happy memory. You now have an Angel in Heaven. Sending hugs to Jim, Bethany, Chris, their spouses and Jean’s grandchildren. ❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️

Growing up on Wood Street, just up the street from Jean, many happy childhood memories flood my thoughts...Pottersville School, Brownies, sledding, SHS class of 1965 and all the fun being friends in such a close knit neighborhood. I am saddened to hear of her passing and send heartfelt prayers and sympathy to her husband and family. Time passes far too quickly and we always regret not staying connected...my memories of Jean are warm and make me smile.

With heartfelt sympathy and prayers from my husband and me....

Jean and I got to know each other as the “Grammies”. We had so much fun together telling stories and sharing memories of the grandsons. Always looked forward to our family get together around the holidays, baseball games, and birthdays of the boys. She was such a delight to talk to, interested in everything, and so easy to talk to. Phil and I will dearly miss her.

Our hearts go out to Jim, Ellen, Bethany, Christopher, spouses and grandsons. Take comfort that so many are holding you in our hearts.
Love, Terri & Phil Knoettner

Jean was a pleasure to know, a great teacher for my children and a neighbor, here in Somerset , to my family. I can fondly remember the many times we spent together with our children. She was loved by all who knew her.

May God hold you in the palm of his hands.

Jean and I were close friends from the day we moved into the dorm at RI College in 1965. I spent many weekends with her family in Somerset, graduated with her in 1969, was in her wedding, celebrated her 2 children's births and weddings, honored her art teaching career right up to her retirement and on into our "golden" years. Jean has always been there and I cannot imagine the future without her. Love to all her family and friends at this sad time. This is one of my longest friendships that was so special to me - 56 years this month. RIP, Jean. Say HI to your parents and Auntie Mai for me.

My heart is aching for all of Jean's family...and for myself also. She was such a wonderful lady. She always had that beautiful smile. We worked together for many years , and I never remember a negative word coming out of her mouth about any coworker or working condition. She has that smile in her picture....such a wonderful memory. Mahead. rest in peace, and may all of her family find comfort and peace in the days ahead. I pray to see you in heaven, my friend. Kathy Masterson
