I was a caregiver at the long-term care facility that John resided at. This past Monday-April 30, 2018 I went to visit him at the hospital. I needed to let him know that I was going to be changing jobs( I wasn't certain when he'd come back "home" and I wanted to make sure he knew I'd be leaving). We had a nice visit even though he was a bit sad that I was leaving the facility. His last words to me were, "Don't forget me." I will not forget you my friend-your "soda" addiction (both Coke and Orange crush)- the fact that you were a sports fanatic (especially when the college teams played), ICE---always needed ICE--- I will miss you my friend-till we meet again on the other side--love you-- Donna AKA "kid" That's what he called me. Sorry for your loss Mrs. C.
