John C. DiSanto, age 80, of Fall River, passed away Friday, November 26, 2021 in Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late John J. and Josephine L. (Barresi) DiSanto; he lived in Tiverton and Portsmouth for many years before returning to Fall River.
A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, Class of 1958, he served in the United States Navy as a Radio Operator at the end of the Korean War. He was a retired Master Union Carpenter and enjoyed woodworking.
He is survived by one son, Stephen DiSanto of Fall River; one brother, Robert DiSanto and his wife Susan of Tiverton and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Lisa DeBenidetto, brother of the late Anne Marie DiSanto and grandfather of the late Stephen DiSanto Jr.
His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 11:00AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River. Relatives and friends invited. Visitation will be held prior to his service from 10:00 to 11:00AM. Contributions in his honor may be made to Bristol Elder Services, Meals on Wheels Program, 1 Father Devalles Blvd. #8, Fall River, MA 02723. Burial private.
